Pastor Ron:
Thanks for your blog. This is going to be a great journey with you. I enjoy your thought provoking questions too at the end of your blogs. I am going to tell everyone about this site so others can participate. All glory to our savior, Jesus Christ.
Blog away.....
When John the Baptist addressed the Phariscees and the Sadducees he uses the tree analogy again that I saw in Psalm 1: "...the wicked will not stand in judgement nor sinners [stand] in the assembly of the righteous." - and then the visual of the ax being at the root of the trees! I visualize men standing in the peace orchard behind my house with axes just waiting for the order to tear the dead one's down.
In Matthew 4 I recognized Jesus being specifically referred to as light, "...a light has dawned." This lead me to my dictionary and what a discovery I made! I'll share it here to releave you of digging out a dictionary:
a. form of electromagnetic radiation that stimulates the organs of sight
b. natural condition that permits vision
c. a source of light - beacon
d. a point of view
e. a flame to kindle something
f. to be born or to begin
g. to comprehend; become enlightened
h. to make plain or clear
i. to ignite, kindle
j. to guide
k. to become bright, luminous
As there are no consequences with God - I find it beautiful how these definitions mirror why God sent His son for us: "to permit vision, a beacon, His point of view, to kindle our love for Him, for us to be born again, to become enlightened, ....".
I find as beautiful as the connections are that are being made for me, and the history itself is; I'm still challenged with hard to believe stuff - like a voice actually yelling down from the heavens "hey son! you're doing great!" Maybe I shouldn't admit that... But how do you get past that block in our head that stops us from believing certain things?
coincidences --- not consequences. that'll teach me to proof my postings.
